The Silver Spring Township Police are investigating a credit card theft and access device fraud case. On 04/06/2013 an unknown male used a stolen credit card at the Kwik Fill gas station in Silver Spring Township, the Turkey Hill gas station in Lemoyne and the Market Mart convenience store in New Cumberland. The suspect is pictured above. The male was the front seat passenger in what appears to be a black Nissan Rogue SUV with chrome door handles. Prescription drug fraud, False ID to law enforcement

On Saturday May 11, 2013 around 1501 hours Officers were dispatched to the Target store for a female suspected of passing a fake prescription. Officers arrived and made contact with the suspect, Shante Foster of Maryland.



 During the investigation Foster provided a false name to Officers and was found to have Oxycodone pills and fake prescriptions on her person. Foster was arrested and changed with prescription fraud, false identification to law enforcement, forgery, and possession of a control substance.

 On or about 10:46am Silver Spring Township Police were dispatched to the Target located at 6416 Carlisle Pike for a report of an active Retail Theft.



Toni James (18), Janai Wise (22), and Alesha Gipson (19), all from Harrisburg, were observed using a tool to remove tags from merchandise and then conceal the merchandise into bags.  James and Wise were arrested at the scene. Since James and Wise each had a young child present Gipson was permitted to leave the scene with the children in her custody. All three suspects will be charged in this incident.



Charges for retail theft, conspiracy to commit retail theft, and possession of an instrument of crime will be filed at the office of Magisterial District Judge Correal in Mechanicsburg.

On 5-12-13 at 4:55 AM officers were called to Wal-Mart int he 6500 block of the Carlisle Pike for a retail theft suspect in custody. On arrival police were advised that an employee had witnesses Joshua S. HOWELL (20) of the 100 block Fortuna LN. Enola cutting open packets of game cards and concealing the cards in his pocket and did not pay for the items. A non-traffic citation was issued to Howell for retail theft.

On May 7, 2013 at 1411 hrs the Silver Spring Twp Police were dispatched to WalMart at 6520 Carlisle Pk, Mechanicsburg, Silver Spring Twp, Cumberland County, PA, for a non-active retail theft.  Patrol met with Loss Prevention who advised that two white females entered the store on 5/7/13 at 0332 hrs, selected two flat screen TV's, put them in a cart then left the store at 0355 hrs without paying for either.  After exiting the store, the females walked to a white (Possibly Ford) pick up truck with clearance lights on the roof line.  They put the TV's in the back of the truck.  Both females entered the passenger side of the truck indicating there was likely a third actor who was waiting in the truck and was driving.

Access device fraud

Police are investigating access device fraud that occurred in March 2012. Two females entered the Target located in the 6400 block of the Carlisle Pike and made over 1,700.00 dollars in purchases with stolen credit cards and altered credit cards. At this time their identify is not known. Persons with information relative these females should contact Ofc. Christopher Butler at 697-0607 ext. 2009.

Two white males stole merchandise from WalMart. One of the suspects was confronted by a store employee and ran on foot. The other suspect walked out with over $200 of merchandise. Silver Spring Township Police are asking for help identifying this individual who is wanted in questioning regarding the use of a stolen credit card.  It is believed that he drives a black 4-door BMW.  Anyone with information is asked to call 717-591-8255.

Clearer photos of suspects using counterfeit $100 bills.  Bills were cashed at Wegman's and Target in Mechanicsburg on 12-1-2012 at approx 2100 hrs.  If anyone can identify the suspects please contact Silver Spring Police at 717-697-0607.
   
   


Police are requesting the public's assistance in identifying 3 suspects after they used counterfeit $100 bills in Wegmans on 12-1-2012 at approx 2100hrs. An unidentified white male and white female and an additional white male entered the store separately, attempted to cash out the fake bills before the suspects were seen leaving the store together in the same vehicle.

Silver Spring Township Police are engaged in a joint investigation with the Ventnor City, NJ Police and the FBI involving a missing woman by the name of Rabihan Seiders, 53 years of age. Seiders sometimes uses her maiden name, Hasanova. Seiders can not be accounted for after the evening of March 27, 2012. Her last known whereabouts is suspected to be in Silver Spring Township, Mechanicsburg, PA. Some information leads police to believe she may be in Atlantic City/Venture City, NJ area.
